A little planet projection of the Pearl Waterfront condominiums the Mistral and the Azure.  The walkway and water feature have been finished.  There is a very nice unobstructed view of the Freemont and Broadway bridges.  You can also see the silos across the way where a cargo ship is often moored.

I try to remind myself of how fortunate I am to live near such a beautiful coastal area.  It is a wonderful place to visit and photograph.

Portland Art Museum in Portland

The Portland art museum is adjacent to the south park blocks that is a long strip of wooded blocks that contain some great sculptures along with Theodore Roosevelt and Lincoln. Once you arrive at the Portland art museum you might want to sit down or pause for a while and enjoy the magical lighting and quiet of the night.

There are many views of the convention center throughout Portland.  It is difficult to find a good perspective to capture it from.  They have a LEED certification and turn off the lights at midnight.  I was at the end of multiple exposures for the tower to the right when they turned off the lights.  Unexpectedly this ended up helping me get a better overall image.

I was trying to take an HDR 360 light probe to be used in a 3D rendering program for a background and specular highlights, but I ended up making a print from it instead.

I ran into some former classmates who were pondering life together on a bench in the park.   I enjoyed speaking with them before going off to take a night panorama of probably the best known bridge in Portland.
